Hubei University graduate students have a high degree of social recognition. The disciplines are complete. It covers 12 disciplines except military science and interdisciplinary subjects, and has 23 discipline colleges, 83 undergraduate majors, 9 first-class disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees, and 6 post-doctoral research stations.

Three disciplines of our school were selected as the best disciplines in the world of American News, five disciplines were selected as the world-class disciplines of soft science, and there were three "domestic first-class disciplines" in Hubei Province. In the fourth round of national discipline evaluation, 15 discipline ranked first in Hubei provincial universities. There are 26 national first-class undergraduate specialty construction sites, 6 national characteristic specialty construction sites, and national comprehensive specialty reform pilot 1 site.

The school has 10 national first-class undergraduate majors and 44 provincial first-class undergraduate majors. Four national new engineering research and practice projects and 288 collaborative education projects of the Ministry of Education were approved.

In recent years, around the major development strategic needs of the country and Hubei, we have strengthened the construction of new engineering, new liberal arts and normal education, and built four engineering colleges, namely, Microelectronics College, Cyberspace Security College, Artificial Intelligence College and New Energy Science and Technology Research Institute, and established Normal College, Cultural Heritage College and Tourism College. Since its establishment, it has trained and delivered more than 300,000 senior professionals.
