When language learners arrive in Oxford, many people will ask where the university is, thinking that they will show a building. It is a collection of many different colleges and institutions established by their teacher, Oxford University. Each college and institution is determined by its own history and characteristics.

Some learners find that the city and its universities have many other surprises. Katie Jennings is a social organizer in St Joseph's Hall in East Oxford. Her job is to organize students' extracurricular activities. She said that many learners were surprised to find that Oxford is home to all ethnic groups and races, and one of the most common social activities is the Latin American Dance Club in Ye Yi. After spending a day learning English and absorbing the ancient flavor of the university, learners put samba in a jar at night.

There are also thriving Asian communities in the city. Sally's female vision is the same as the streets of Oxford, like a yard of jackets and plasterboards. There are also delicious choices of Asian restaurants prepared with curry powder, as well as store stocks and unusual vegetables and fruits.

Because of the university, the urban part attracts such a different population, and because it is an important industrial center-it is especially famous for automobile manufacturing. However, despite the large industrial areas, the center of the old city has remained surprisingly intact.

Carmel Ndjeng, a teacher at Lake School, said that many students were surprised to find that the city did not have the usual high-rise modern buildings. From Oxford, your center "can see the green hills in the distance, which increases the feeling of learners in a friendly town rather than just another modern big city."

Some learners will be tempted to explore those green hills-Oxford is surrounded by some of the most beautiful villages in southern England-but when Engin admits that it has been completed and seen in this city, some learners will explore its surroundings when they find it.

Oxford University has developed some imaginative programs for language learners. One is the local radio station, which broadcasts the news and information of learners. They can visit radio stations to gain experience in radio production. Or, they can meet college students in hotels, clubs or many campus sports facilities, which are always open to language learners.
