Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University Joint International College (abbreviated as "Beijing Normal University" in Chinese and "UIC" in English), located in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, is the first university jointly established by the mainland of China and the higher education sector in Hong Kong, and the first liberal arts university in China. In 2005, with the special approval of the Ministry of Education, Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University Joint International College was jointly established by Beijing Normal University and Hong Kong Baptist University. In the academic year of 20 16-20 17, Beijing Normal University was approved by the Ministry of Education to carry out postgraduate education.
