South China University is located in Hengyang City, Hunan Province. It is jointly established by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the National Health and Wellness Commission, the State Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, China National Nuclear Corporation and the Hunan Provincial People's Government. It is a first-class university in Hunan Province, supported by the basic capacity-building project of universities in the central and western regions of China, and the national "1 165438 Plan" base for discipline innovation and intelligence introduction.
