Dongjing Association is a mass music organization that worships Taoism in Yunnan minority areas. Its characteristic is to tell and perform the immortal classic of Wenchang Cave with music. In the early Ming Dynasty, some literati brought the Taoist Classic of Wenchang Dadong Fairy from Sichuan to Dali, Yunnan, and sang the poems in the classic with various music tunes of local music clubs, and often played such music in various sacrificial activities, which gradually had an impact and formed a scale. The Dongjing Association is composed of some relatively fixed members, with different names in various parts of Yunnan, such as the Red Man Association in Dali County, Fu Yuanhui and He Yunhui, and Chongren, Tongren and Wenming in Kunming. The so-called Dongjing Association is actually a general term. Later, a large number of cave classics were developed, such as Guan Shengdijun, Shi Jue, Zhen Jing, Huang Jing, Wei Yan, Xiaojing, Guanyin Cave Classic and so on. They are mainly based on the three classics of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism and advise people to be kind. At present, there are such organizations in more than 0/00 counties and cities in Yunnan Province, and even some surrounding areas have cave fairs; Because of its diverse musical tunes and ancient inheritance, it has been recognized as "intangible cultural heritage" by UNESCO.
