Is it dangerous to be a policeman?
Police is the most dangerous occupation in peacetime.

The police face illegal and criminal acts every day. In order to escape the punishment of the law, some suspects will take risks and violently attack the police when they are arrested by the police. However, the development of police weapons and equipment in China is extremely backward, and it is impossible to guarantee that no one has a set of single police equipment required by the Ministry of Public Security. Like the rural police station where I live, one police station doesn't have a set of single police equipment, and two law enforcement recorders are still broken. Moreover, China's laws, regulations and systems are not perfect, and some provisions are not in line with China's national conditions, even contrary to logic, resulting in most front-line police in China not equipped with guns. As a result, front-line policemen often have to face danger when they go out to the police, reinforcements can't arrive in time, and there are no police weapons, and eventually they are injured or even sacrificed.

At the same time, the police are basically in a serious sub-health state because of low pay, long-term overtime and great pressure, and are particularly prone to sudden death due to illness.

According to statistics, in China, the average life expectancy has exceeded 70 years, while the average life expectancy of frontline policemen is only 48 years. In 20 14, 393 policemen were killed and 5624 policemen were injured. The age of the police who died was between 30 and 49, with an average age of 45.3. Basically, policemen die every day, and on average 16 policemen are injured every day.
