Four Great Masters of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Jin and Yuan Dynasties
Four Great Masters in Jin and Yuan Dynasties, or Four Great Masters in Jin and Yuan Dynasties, refer to the four major medical schools in ancient China. Liu's theory of fiery heat, his theory of attacking evil, his theory of spleen and stomach and Zhu Zhenheng's theory of nourishing yin.

The period of Song, Jin and Yuan Dynasties is an important period for the development of TCM theory, which is called the period of "new learning flourishes". During this period, due to the long-term war, people lived in poverty and diseases prevailed, which laid a social foundation for the emergence of the four great masters in Jin and Yuan Dynasties. Due to rich practice, many doctors have made in-depth research on ancient medical classics, and combined with their own clinical experience, formed their own theories to explain predecessors' theories, and gradually formed different schools, including Liu's treatment of colds, Zhang's attack-purgation method (sweating, vomiting and purgation), Li's method of tonifying the soil (invigorating the spleen) and Zhu's method of nourishing yin, which greatly enriched the theory of traditional Chinese medicine.

The theories of the four masters in Jin and Yuan Dynasties marked the development of traditional Chinese medicine to a new stage, and had a far-reaching impact on the later development of traditional Chinese medicine.

Jinsiyuan dajia

It refers to four famous doctors, such as Liu,, Zhu Zhenheng, in the Jin and Yuan Dynasties (A.D. 1 15- 1368). The four masters in Jin and Yuan Dynasties represented four different schools of thought. Liu believes that diseases are mostly caused by heat toxin, and cold drugs are often used for treatment, which is called cold-cooling school. Zhang Congzheng believes that the focus of treatment should be to exorcise evil spirits. "When evil spirits are gone, they will be safe." In terms of treatment, it enriches and develops three methods of sweating, vomiting and purgation, which is called "attacking purgatory". Gaoli thinks that "people's stomach and qi are the foundation" and is good at warming the spleen and stomach in treatment, so it is called "tonifying the soil school". Zhu Zhenheng believes that "Yang is always abundant and Yin is often insufficient" and makes good use of the principle of "nourishing yin to reduce fire", which is called "Ziyin School" internationally.
