Jilin Institute of Chemical Technology, located in the scenic northern city of Jilin, is the only chemical university in Jilin Province. The school has always been in a leading position in the province in terms of traditional advantageous disciplines such as chemical engineering and electromechanical engineering. The school was founded in 1958, originally under the Ministry of Chemical Industry, and was placed under the Jilin Provincial People's Government in 200 1.

1978, Jilin Chemical Company Technical School, Jilin Chemical Company Amateur Chemical Engineering College (Jilin Amateur Chemical Engineering College) and Jilin Cadre School of Construction Bureau of Ministry of Chemical Industry merged and upgraded to Jilin Chemical Engineering College.

2. Northeast Li Dian University

Northeast Li Dian University located in Jilin City, Jilin Province (referred to as Northeastern University for short) was selected as the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan" of the Ministry of Education and the first batch of "Basic Capacity Building Project of Central and Western Universities" key universities.

The school is the first batch of national engineering practice education center construction units and the national social sports talent training and scientific research base. 20 16 joined the "Global Energy Internet Development Cooperation Organization", and in the same year initiated to join the "China Smart Metering Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance".

3. Jilin Medical College

Jilin Medical College is located in Jilin City, Jilin Province. The school is an independent undergraduate college of western medicine in Jilin Province.

Jilin Medical College was formerly known as Changchun Nurse Training Team of Northeast Military Region Air Force, which was established in 1952. 1In August 1954, it was renamed as Air Force 46 1 Hospital Affiliated Senior Nursing School. /kloc-0 changed its name to air force medical college in June, 1993. In August, 2004, with the approval of the State Council and the Central Military Commission, the school was transferred to Jilin Province by the army as a whole and was named Jilin Medical College.

4. Jilin Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology

Jilin Agricultural Science and Technology University is a provincial public full-time undergraduate college in Jilin Province, a pilot college for the reform of the national outstanding agricultural and forestry personnel education and training plan, and the first batch of pilot colleges for overall transformation in Jilin Province.

The school was formed by the merger of the former Jilin Agricultural School and the former Jilin Professional College. In 2003, the former Jilin Agricultural School was merged into the former Jilin College. In May 2004, approved by the Ministry of Education, it was upgraded to Jilin College of Agricultural Science and Technology.

5. Jilin Railway Vocational and Technical College

Jilin Railway Vocational and Technical College, located in Jilin City, Jilin Province, is a public full-time ordinary institution of higher learning approved by the people's government of Jilin Province, put on record by the Ministry of Education and managed by the Education Department of Jilin Province, aiming at cultivating high-quality, high-skilled and applied talents urgently needed for production, construction, management and service.

The school's predecessor was Jilin Railway Economic School (technical secondary school) founded by 1948 and Jilin Railway Transport Workers College founded by 1958. The two universities merged in June, 200012006, and were restructured into Jilin Railway Vocational and Technical College in February, 2006. It is a higher vocational college specializing in railway in Jilin Province.
