Conditions for applying for public security university
Candidates who apply for the public security major in public security colleges must participate in the investigation, interview, physical examination and physical fitness assessment organized by the provincial public security organs of their origin. If the conclusion of inspection, interview, physical examination or physical fitness assessment is unqualified, it will not be hired.

The inspection items and standards shall be implemented with reference to the relevant provisions on the employment of people's police by public security organs. The interview mainly identifies whether the candidate is suitable for public security college education and public security work from the aspects of motivation, verbal expression and physical coordination.

The items and standards of physical examination shall be implemented with reference to the relevant provisions on the employment of people's police by public security organs, and the following conditions shall also be met:

(1) Height: male 170cm or above, female 160cm or above.

(2) Weight: The body mass index (unit: kg/m2) of males is between 17.3-27.3, and that of females is between 17. 1-25.7.

(3) Vision: unilateral naked eye vision is above 4.8.

(4) color vision: no color blindness, weak color.

The items and standards of physical fitness assessment are as follows:

(1) 50 meters. Measurable times: 1 time, and eligibility criteria: male ≤9.2 seconds, female ≤ 10.4 seconds;

(2) Standing long jump. Measurable times: 3 times, and the eligibility criteria: male ≥ 2.05m, female ≥1.5 m;

(3) 1000 meter run (male) /800 meter run (female). Measurable times: 1 time, and qualified criteria: male ≤4 minutes and 35 seconds, female ≤4 minutes and 36 seconds;

(4) Pull-ups (male)/sit-ups (female). Measurable times: 1 time, and the eligibility criteria: male ≥9 times/minute, female ≥25 times/minute.

All the above four items should be evaluated. Among them, three or more standards have been reached, and the conclusion of physical fitness evaluation is qualified.
