Sun Yat-sen University, referred to as "Zhong Da University" for short, is located in Guangdong Province and directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). It is a comprehensive national key university jointly established by the Ministry of Education, the State Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and Guangdong Province, and ranks among the national "double-class", "985 Project" and "21Project".

South China University of Technology, formerly known as South China University of Technology, can be traced back to 19 18, a first-class industrial school in Guangdong Province, which was formally established in 1952.

South China University of Technology was established on the basis of the engineering departments and majors of Sun Yat-sen University, South China United University Institute of Technology, Lingnan University Institute of Technology and Guangdong Institute of Technology, and was transferred to some engineering departments and majors of five universities, including Hunan University, Zhonghua University in Wuchang, Wuhan Jiaotong University, Nanchang University and Guangxi University. Jinan University, formerly known as Jinan Academy, was founded by the Qing government in Nanjing on 1906. Later, it moved to Shanghai, and 1927 was renamed as National Jinan University. During his stay in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, he moved to Jianyang, Fujian. 1946 moved back to Shanghai,1949 merged with Fudan University, Jiaotong University and other universities in August.
