What "superstitions" do you always remember, though absurd?
As a college student studying science and engineering, I believe that science can explain all phenomena. But my family is in the countryside, and my parents have certain superstitious feudal thoughts. Growing up in the countryside, I have also been exposed to many superstitious ideas and experienced some ridiculous things.

In my hometown, there is a saying that weasels are unlucky. If you meet a weasel, something will happen at home and you need to lose everything. I remember that once my relatives from other places came to my house for a period of time, and on the way to drive them, they met a weasel crossing the road. My parents immediately rushed out of the car and threw some coins, then drove home. Then my relatives delayed for a day, and my parents sent them away the next day. At that time, I was still young and didn't know much about it, but now my family still insists on this practice. Once you meet weasels, hedgehogs, snakes and other creatures, you need to spend money to eliminate disasters. ?

In my hometown, people believe in Mr. Wang. This gentleman refers to people who understand Taoism. I still remember when I was in primary school, I had a high fever for a week, and I still didn't get better. My mother took me to see the old man. My memories at that time are all blurred now, except for the fever after I met the old man. Later, I have been thinking about whether the body recovers automatically or whether it really has the power of superstition. Two years ago, I had a pain in my hip for two months, during which I was treated everywhere but it didn't work. My mother took me to see the old man again. This time, I clearly remember that the old man would find his master's upper body, then feel my pulse and say that I was infected by something unclean, then read an inaudible spell, and then it was over. However, my leg pain has never recovered since I saw it. Later, it took half a year to recover. As for the old man, I don't believe him.

I think superstitious thoughts and practices have no scientific basis, but they can bring spiritual comfort to people.
