The film mainly tells the story of a group of inferior students entering a special class set up to enter a famous university, starting to learn and grow, gradually developing their thinking ability and planning their lives, and finally realizing their college dreams.
Jiang Xihao saw the hopeless situation of the last inferior school, C Gate High School, and was determined to bring the school back to life. The only way is to train students to be admitted to Seoul National University. Jiang Xihao predicts that if C-Gate High Energy increases the enrollment of Seoul National University year by year, more students will sign up for C-Gate High School, and then the school can overcome the financial crisis and gain the reputation of a prestigious school. The school allowed Jiang Xihao to set up a special enrollment class, provided that five students were summoned within three days and their scores were raised to 70% of the registered scores of Seoul National University before the mock exam in July. The five-member student group ended up with Ji (played), Huang Baixian (played) and Wu (played by Li Canhao) admitted to the qualification line of the world's first university, but gave up their studies in the world's first university and applied for volunteering to study medicine. The other two student protagonists, Luo Xianzhi (played by Park Ji Yeon) and Hong Candou (played by Li Xianyu), chose art and dance, although they didn't pass the mark.
