There are five forms of calligraphy: seal script, official script, regular script, running script and cursive script. Most people and I think that beginners should be based on regular script, but some people think that they should learn official script. The arrangement of regular script structure is only an intermediate stage. It evolved from official script. If regular script is flat and even, then dennis gabor's brushwork is official script. Simple writing is running script, simple writing is cursing, and now it is grass. If we start with official script, it is difficult to master the brushwork of regular script, because the brushwork of regular script is richer and more complicated than official script. It can be seen that practicing the basic skills of regular script can be used as the basis for practicing calligraphy and writing various styles.

With the basic skills of regular script, I have mastered the structure and brushwork of regular script, and then I will write regular script, official script, running script and cursive script. Even seal script can get twice the result with half the effort. Regular script can enrich and change the structure of Weibei and Lishu, such as Zhu Suiliang's regular script; Regular script permeates human running script and cursive brushwork, which can increase agility, such as some regular script inscriptions in Zhao Mengfu.

Some beginners are eager to practice running script and cursive script. Because they don't have the basic skills of regular script, although they wrote a "Dragon and Phoenix Dance", they don't have the basic font rules and punctuation skills. In this way, they will get twice the result with half the effort and take a detour.

The best way to practice regular script is to paste it. No matter whose copybook it is, it won't make people feel simple. If anyone were simpler, I'm afraid it's already the only preliminary practice of calligraphy. In fact, you can choose any kind of stickers such as Yan, Ou, Liu and Zhao according to your own preferences, but try to buy better quality copybooks when buying flat stickers.

When writing brush characters, Four Treasures of the Study is used: pen, ink, paper and inkstone. If you want to do your job well, you must sharpen your knife first. It is most important to practice calligraphy, so choose the right brush.

It is necessary to choose a brush with good performance, which can run freely when used, and has four characteristics: sharp, neat, round and healthy, that is, we often say that a brush has four virtues: sharp, neat, round and healthy.

There are many kinds of brushes. Generally speaking, writing pens can be divided into three categories: soft pens, hard pens and gel pens. Soft pens, such as wool and chicken feathers. Hard pens include purple hair (rabbit hair), wolf hair, mouse hair and so on. Neutral (neither soft nor hard) pens are called "double brush", and there are two kinds: sheep purple and sheep wolf.

For beginners, if you use a hard brush from the beginning, it will be easier to pick up the pen without much skill, because the pen will help you a lot, but over time, you can only use the hard brush. Once you pick up the sheep's hair, you will feel unable to move. On the contrary, if you practice calligraphy with sheep's hair when you are a beginner, although it is difficult at first, you must change the front by lifting and pressing to write qualified strokes, but you also learn the method of using soft pen. With the increase of contact time, you will gradually become handy and use it freely. At this time, if you pick up a hard brush to write, you will feel relaxed.

The ancients also had a lot of experience in the use of pens. I don't think it is easy to buy a good and expensive pen when I am a beginner, but I advocate using a bad pen, because if you can write good words with a bad pen, you will be more comfortable and write better with a good pen. On the contrary, if you start with a good pen, you will only use a good pen all your life. Once you encounter a poor pen, you will not be able to write well. Of course, you can't practice calligraphy with a rotten pen, which will make it more difficult for beginners. Ou Yangxun, a great calligrapher in the early Tang Dynasty, recorded that "if you don't choose paper or pen, you will achieve your goal", which was praised by Yu Shinan of the same age.

In addition, from the economic point of view, the authentic wolf brush is very expensive, the good "big orchid bamboo" costs one or two hundred yuan, the ordinary sheep brush only costs two or three yuan, and a little better five or six yuan is enough. And because the pen is hard, easy to wear and tear, and the use time is not long, while the pen is soft and durable. It is economical for beginners to buy a wool pen.

Before buying a pen, you should also know the model of the brush. Brushes are divided into small letters, medium letters and large characters due to different styles, and the biggest ones are screen pens, couplet pens, bucket pens and planting pens. Because the name and brand of each pen factory are different, its size is also different. Beginners can buy a pen with a long front end, about four or five centimeters in length and about one centimeter in diameter. Such a brush can write in block letters 7 cm square. More suitable for people who have just learned calligraphy.

There are many kinds of writing brushes. When learning for the first time, I hope you can choose "double double brush" lake brush. Because it is difficult to master the brush strokes of double-stranded brush, it is very important for your future study. Let me talk about why Yang Hao and Wolf Hair are not used, because the former is soft and difficult to master, while the latter is hard and suitable for freehand brushwork.

When choosing a pen tip, you should choose an appropriate length, because the pen tip is too long to master, but the pen tip length can contain a lot of ink, which is suitable for cursive writing at one go, and the pen tip length can ensure enough ink. On the contrary, the short nib is suitable for writing regular script and easy to master.

When choosing a pen, we should also consider the copy of the tablet. The so-called "use a pen used by someone to write his words." The best way to judge what kind of pen to use is to look at his handwriting directly: if the style is strong, choose Hao Jian; If you are charming and plump, choose soft; Hard and soft, and then choose double brush. The characteristics of the pen also affect the written calligraphy, thus achieving the wonderful scenery of calligraphy.

Another point is the size of the font. Write big words in capital letters and small words in lowercase letters. Writing big characters with small pens is easy to be damaged and can't be justified, but writing small characters with large pens is a bit "killing the chicken."

Selection method:

1. Tip: When aggregating pens, the nib should be sharp.

When the fingers are close together, the ends should be sharp. The pen tip is easy to write and express. Writers often refer to their pens as "bald pens", but if they are not sharp, they will become bald pens, and there will be no spirit in writing books. When buying a new pen, the hair is glued and polymerized, which is easy to distinguish. When checking the old pen, first wet the pen and gather the hair, then you can distinguish the sharp baldness.

2. Qi: the nib is smooth and flat, and the hair at the nib is neat and tidy.

Refers to the nib, which is flat after being wetted and flattened with water. If the brush is neat, it will be equal in length at ordinary times, and there is no gap, so that writing can be "Wan Liqi". Because the pen needs to be completely wet, it is difficult to check this when buying it.

3. Round: Around the belly of the pen, the pen holder is full and round, conical, not flat or thin.

It means that the pen is as perfect as a jujube pit, which means that the hair is sufficient. If you have more hair, you will have enough pen power to write, otherwise you will lose weight and lack pen power. The pen is perfect. The pen can turn. When shopping, there is glue in your hair. Is it perfect? Just take a closer look.

4. Health: the bristles are elastic, easy to fold after spreading, and the brushwork should be healthy.

Refers to the elasticity of the pen waist; Press hard, lift the pen, and then return to its original state. If the pen is flexible, it can be used freely; Generally speaking, rabbit hair and wolf hair are more elastic than wool, and their writing is firm and firm. In this regard, press the pen after wetting, and the front is straight and healthy.

Tip: refers to the conical tip; Qi: after the nib is flattened, it is as neat as a knife; Round: the pen is round and full; Jane: The pen holder is upright and elastic.

The second is ink. At present, the ink produced by Yidege is very good, convenient and economical.

The third is paper. Beginners can use cheaper paper such as selvage paper, and those who practice to a certain extent or have good economic conditions can also use Xuan paper.

The fourth type is inkstone, on which ink is placed to facilitate embellishment and writing. Most people don't use ink sticks to grind ink now. Only a few people with special needs use inkstones to grind ink.

General steps of practicing calligraphy

On the basis of selecting posts, we should go through five steps: reading posts, describing posts, copying posts, carrying posts back and creating posts.

The first step is to read the post

We all know the pronunciation of the posted Chinese characters, so we don't need to read them any more. Read what? Read fonts, read structures, read strokes, and analyze the relationship between stroke characteristics and strokes of Chinese characters. For example, when we read the Chinese character "zhong", we should read that a vertical line of "zhong" passes through the middle of "kou", and the word "kou" is slightly flat. The long vertical line in the middle is divided into two sections with equal length by the lower horizontal line of the mouth, and the upper horizontal line of the mouth is divided into two sections with equal length. This is an interpretation of glyphs and structures. Different fonts and strokes have different characteristics.

The second step is tracking. "Tracing red" refers to tracing red, that is, beginners draw printed red copybooks along the handwriting with a brush. "Imitation" refers to copying the post, that is, covering the model words with transparent paper and writing them one by one along the shadow of the words on the paper, which is also called writing imitation.

The third step is to post. It refers to putting the copybook aside and watching the copybook write word by word. This method is helpful to master the brushwork and meaning of Chinese characters, but it is not easy to master the structure of Chinese characters.

The fourth step is to recite the post. Refers to the method of removing the copybook on the basis of copying, recalling the font on the copybook according to your own memory and writing it on paper. This is a key step in practicing calligraphy. Only by carefully examining the words you read and write, can you write accurately. When writing, if you can see the exact font of the Chinese characters to be written on white paper, so that "the words are on the paper and the words are on the chest", it is not a problem to write a good hand.

The fifth step is creation. On the basis of mastering the writing method of the words on the copybook, I learned the writing method of the words not on the copybook by analogy. According to the needs of self-expression, writing a paragraph with center, content and self-contained system is creation.

If you can write a word close to the copybook in your usual study life, your purpose of practicing calligraphy will be achieved.

Practice posture:

When practicing calligraphy, we should pay attention to the posture and method of writing, so as to achieve "head straight, body straight, arms open and feet safe" There are writing postures and methods in general copybooks.

I am not in Beijing. I wonder where I can learn calligraphy in Haidian District, Beijing? I only know that there is a well-known studio 0 10 in Beijing, and I don't know if there is anyone who teaches calligraphy. You can ask.
