Yes Wen Zhanbin, secretary of Shantou Municipal Party Committee, graduated from Jinan University and was born in 197 1. He is a native of Lianjiang, Guangdong Province and the son of Wen Yuzhu, the former commander of Guangdong Military Region. He used to be secretary of the Youth League Committee of Qingyuan City, secretary of Yangshan County Party Committee, member of the Standing Committee of Qingyuan Municipal Committee, and secretary of Qingcheng District. Later, he was transferred to the mayor of Yangjiang City and is now secretary of Shantou Municipal Committee.
