Brief introduction of Guangzhou Ocean University
Guangdong Ocean University is a provincial key construction university jointly established by the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Natural Resources. It is a comprehensive ocean university with multi-disciplinary coordinated development, an excellent college for undergraduate teaching level evaluation by the Ministry of Education, and a key discipline construction university of high-level universities in Guangdong Province.
The school runs schools in Zhanjiang and Yangjiang, two beautiful coastal cities at the southern tip of Chinese mainland. The campus environment is beautiful, with mountains and water and evergreen trees and flowers. It is an ideal place for students to learn and become talents. The school enrolls students from 29 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government, with 40,000 full-time undergraduates, postgraduates and international students, and adult higher education students10.9 million.
Huguang Campus of Zhanjiang City (headquarters, Haida Road 1, Mazhang District), Xiashan Campus (No.40 Jiefang East Road, xiashan district) and Haibin Campus (No.5 Haibin Avenue Middle, xiashan district) cover an area of 4,892 mu, of which Huguang Campus is located on the east side of Huguangyan World Geopark, a national AAAA tourist attraction.
Zhanjiang Campus has 19 colleges, including Fisheries College, Ocean and Meteorology College, Food Science and Technology College, Binhai Agricultural College, Mechanical Engineering College, Ocean Engineering and Energy College, Marxism College, Economics College, Management College, Mathematics and Computer College (Software College), Electronics and Information Engineering College, Chemistry and Environment College, Shipping College, Literature and Journalism College, Law and Politics College, and Continuing College.
Yangjiang Campus (Qin Luo Road, Jiangcheng District 1) is adjacent to Qin Luo, one of the eight scenic spots in Yangjiang, and the scenic Qinluo Lake is in the south, with a total planned land area of 3,500 mu. The land for the first-phase construction project is 5 12 mu. The campus consists of five colleges: School of Mechanical and Energy Engineering, School of Materials Science and Engineering, School of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Food Science and Engineering and Business School. The second phase plans to build 7 colleges and 30 majors.
