Guangzhou University, a private university, was founded on March 3, 1927 by Chen Bingquan, Jin Zengcheng and others. In the early days of the establishment of private Guangzhou University, there were liberal arts colleges, law schools and preparatory courses. There is no principal, and the Committee system is adopted, with Chen Bingquan as chairman and academic director; Wang Zhiyuan is a disciplinary Committee member and director; Chen Youqin is a member and general affairs director; Ma Honghuan and Chen Jiayu are members, presiding over the school affairs. Later, the principal system was changed, with Jin Zengcheng as the principal and Chen Bingquan as the vice principal.
