Huanggang Normal University is located in Huanggang City, Hubei Province, which is a humanistic hometown and a livable city in China. It is a multi-disciplinary full-time undergraduate college with complete disciplines and specialties in Hubei Province, and the first institution of higher learning in Huanggang with a population of 7.5 million.
The school's predecessor was Huangzhoufu Normal School, which was founded in 1905. After Huanggang Rural Normal School, Hubei Huanggang Normal School, Huanggang Normal College and other changes. 1March 1999, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the undergraduate level was upgraded to "Huanggang Normal University"; 20111June 0 10, the State Council Academic Degrees Committee approved the independent development of postgraduate education.
After more than 100 years' efforts, the school has now developed into a multidisciplinary university, involving nine disciplines, including science, engineering, agriculture, economics, literature, law, teaching, management and art, forming a master's and undergraduate level. The school consists of three campuses: South Campus, North Campus and West Campus (East Campus is under preparation), with an existing campus area of 1.650 mu. The school enrolls students from 27 provinces and cities in China, with full-time students 19580.
