In the aspect of legal education, the Law School has been committed to combining theory with practice, regularly carrying out activities such as "mock trial", professional social practice and "academic salon", and providing a regular platform for students to practice their legal practice skills and serve the public through the Legal Aid Center of Hohai University. The law school reference room located in Jiangning campus also provides a necessary supplement for undergraduates and graduate students to consult professional literature.

In recent years, law school teachers have undertaken a number of national, ministerial and provincial funded projects and projects entrusted by relevant ministries, and their ability to undertake national and local scientific research tasks is increasing. Law school teachers were selected as the main members of the third batch of 32 key textbooks of philosophy and social sciences in colleges and universities in the Marxist theoretical research and construction project of the Ministry of Education, which not only created a precedent for our teachers to be selected as the chief experts and main members of the key textbook project of the "Horse Project" of the Ministry of Education, but also greatly improved the status and influence of Hohai University Law School in the legal field.

With the joint efforts of teachers, the Law School has published a large number of widely influential works in a relatively short period of time, and thus won provincial and ministerial awards such as the National Law Textbook and Scientific Research Achievement Award, and the Jiangsu Excellent Achievement Award in Philosophy and Social Sciences. Law school teachers have edited, co-edited or participated in the compilation of a large number of influential teaching materials, such as the Curriculum Textbook for 2 1 century by the Ministry of Education, the 11th Five-Year Plan Textbook for General Higher Education by the Ministry of Education, the Law Planning Textbook for 2 1 century by the Department of Degree Management and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Education, the postgraduate teaching book and 2/kloc-0.

The Law School attaches great importance to exchanges and cooperation with off-campus legal circles and legal practice departments, and organizes various academic exchange activities. Law school teachers also actively serve the society. A number of teachers have served as advisors to the legislative expert advisory groups of the Standing Committees of Jiangsu and Nanjing Municipal People's Congress, members of the legal expert advisory group of the leading group of governing the city by law in Nanjing, members of the legal advisory committee of the Nanjing Municipal Government, invited members of the professional research group of the Procuratorial Committee of the People's Procuratorate of Jiangsu Province, invited advisors to the Nanjing Intermediate People's Court and invited advisors to the Changzhou Intermediate People's Court.
