The discipline system of the School of Information is complete, and the professional direction is aimed at the forefront of international science and technology, aiming at the major needs of the country, giving full play to the advantages of the combination of science and technology of China University of Science and Technology, ranking the international leading level in voice information processing and leading the development of domestic voice language technology. It has obvious advantages and certain international influence in many research fields and directions such as wireless communication technology and mobile communication network, network architecture and new media application, electromagnetic field theory and microwave and millimeter wave engineering technology, advanced process control and system modeling, and national new generation audio and video standards. In the above-mentioned research fields and directions, the college has undertaken a large number of major (key) projects of the 973 and 863 National Natural Science Funds, undertaken major national projects, and has close cooperation with many well-known enterprises at home and abroad. In recent years, he has won 8 major scientific research achievement awards, including 2 second prizes for national scientific and technological progress and 57 patents.

Professor Yu Yugang from the School of Management, University of Science and Technology of China and his research group reconstructed and optimized the classified storage strategy model of the warehousing system, and found the "bowl curve" relationship between the time required for the system to access goods and the number of classified goods in general scenarios (the "our model" curve in the figure), which revealed theoretically for the first time that no matter how many goods are stored, the number of goods classified into 3-5 categories can always optimize the warehousing efficiency, and solved the mystery of inconsistency between theory and practice in recent 40 years. The main conclusion of this achievement was published in the top management journal Production and Operation Management [20 15, Volume 24, No.8: 1235- 1247], and Dr. Guo Xiaolong from the School of Management and Professor Rene de Koster from the Netherlands were co-authors of this paper.
