Shi Jing University Hall is the earliest national comprehensive university in modern China. During the Reform Movement of 1898 (1898), Shi Jing University Hall was established in Beijing under the auspices of Sun Jianai. The original school site is located in Jingshan East Street (formerly Mashenmiao) and Honglou (now No.29 May 4th Street, Beijing) and Shanghai Beach (northeast of the Forbidden City). The Qing government formulated the Constitution of Shi Jing University, which stipulated that Shi Jing University could be divided into two categories: general courses and specialized courses. At the same time, there are normal schools, compilation bureaus and other departments.
