Taizhou University, located in Taizhou City, Jiangsu Province, is a full-time public undergraduate college. The school's predecessor was Taixing Rural Normal School, established in 194 1, and Taizhou Normal School was established in 1952. In 2002, the two universities merged to form Taizhou Normal University, and in the same year they merged with Taizhou Radio and TV University. On April 20 13, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Taizhou Teachers College was upgraded to a public undergraduate college-Taizhou College.
