Universities are like ghost towns.
The word "ghost town" first came from American media. Time magazine once published a report, comparing the population living in Ordos with the actual population, and then drawing the conclusion of "ghost town". Although Ordos did go through the ghost town stage, it gradually became prosperous.

First, Ordos, which is famous for its coal, is actually Ordos people, but the reason why Ordos really developed is the discovery of a large number of coal resources.

Because Ordos is rich in coal resources and easy to mine, and the government vigorously attracts investment, Ordos has attracted a large number of people in just a few years. Since the resident population has increased, the Ordos municipal government naturally wants to keep these people, so in 2004, it began to spend huge sums of money to open the curtain of the construction of Kangbashi New District, and in 2006, the municipal government moved in, which undoubtedly made Kangbashi New District attractive enough.

In order to accommodate as many people as possible, the municipal government developed a large number of real estate according to the standards after more than ten years. In addition, the future development of Ordos looks very advantageous. At that time, the building price even reached 10,000 yuan per square meter, which was absolutely unique in China at that time.

Two, into two, is also coal defeated coal. Although the coal industry in Ordos was booming at that time, due to unrestricted mining and no reasonable relevant planning, workers working in Ordos soon found that the coal was almost exhausted and there were no other jobs in the local area, so they left Ordos one after another.

What the real estate industry is most afraid of is that the resident population is too small, and the house prices have plummeted when foreigners leave Ordos. Although housing prices in other areas have gradually returned to normal levels, there are still not many people buying houses because Ordos has no development potential in the short term. Take Kangbashi New District as an example. There are less than 100 thousand houses that can accommodate more than one million people, and people are often not seen on the road for half an hour. It is not surprising to be called a ghost town.

Third, Ordos is not what it used to be. Saying that Ordos is a ghost town is actually a thing of the past. With the rising occupancy rate, Ordos is no longer a second-tier city, but it also presents a thriving scene as a whole.

At present, the main industries in Ordos are animal husbandry and tourism, and the beautiful scenery constantly attracts friends from all over the country to visit Ordos, which in turn drives the vigorous development of the local economy. On June 8th, 20 16, the State Council officially approved the establishment of kangbashi County Administrative District, which is the first 4A-level tourist attraction named after the urban landscape in China. The modern urban construction in Ordos is that the scenery is in the city, and the city is in the scenery, and the effect of enriching the people through tourism is becoming increasingly obvious.

Generally speaking, it is old news that Ordos is a ghost town. Without coal, Ordos lost its powerful help, but it did not defeat Ordos. Ordos now welcomes friends from all corners of the country with a brand-new image. Welcome everyone to visit Ordos.
