Qingdao Ocean Shipping Crew Vocational College, located in Shinan District of Qingdao, is a higher vocational and technical college under China Ocean Shipping Group Co., Ltd., and its education administration is under the Shandong Provincial Department of Education. College was founded in 1976, formerly known as Qingdao Maritime School. 1980, approved by the Ministry of Communications, was changed into an adult college and renamed as "Qingdao Ocean Shipping Crew Training College". 1983 was renamed "Qingdao Ocean Shipping Crew College" with the approval of the Ministry of Communications. 20 10, approved by the Ministry of Education, was transformed into an ordinary higher vocational college, renamed as "Qingdao Ocean Shipping Crew Vocational College".
