What is the historical evolution of the School of Engineering of Nanjing Agricultural University?
Engineering College of Nanjing Agricultural University is located in Jiangbei New District of Nanjing, with a campus area of 7 16 mu, bordering the Yangtze River in the south and Laoshan Mountain in the north. There are more than 430 faculty members, more than 5,000 full-time undergraduates, nearly 500 doctoral and master students, and more than 700 continuing education students. Over the past 60 years, more than 30 thousand experts and scholars, entrepreneurs, party and government management and other talents have been trained.

College is one of the cradles of agricultural engineering in China, which was developed by the merger of the former Central University and Jinling University, two earliest agricultural engineering departments in China. 1952 when the departments of colleges and universities in China were adjusted, the department of agricultural mechanization of Nanjing Agricultural College merged. In the same year, Pukou Campus established East China Mechanized Agricultural School (1955 was renamed Nanjing Agricultural Mechanized School). 65438-0958, the Department of Agricultural Mechanization merged with Nanjing Agricultural Mechanization School in Jiangsu Province to form the Agricultural Mechanization Branch of Nanjing Agricultural College. 1970, moved to Zhenjiang and merged with Zhenjiang Agricultural Machinery College (now Jiangsu University). 1985, moved back to the original site of Puzhen to establish the Agricultural Engineering College. In 2000, it was renamed Institute of Technology.
