This year, QS made some changes to the original six indicators and added three new indicators. Simply put, it is derived from this:
The original six standards:
Academic reputation: 40%; Employer's reputation: accounting for10%; Citation rate per teacher: 20%.
Proportion of faculty and students: 20%; Proportion of international teachers: 5%; Proportion of international students: 5%
Became like this:
There are 9 existing standards: academic reputation: 30% (down10%); Employer's reputation: 15% (up by 5%); Number of teachers' papers cited: 20% (unchanged); Teacher-student ratio: 10% (down 10%)
Proportion of international teachers: 5% (unchanged); Proportion of international students: 5% (unchanged); International research network: 5% (new); Employment achievement: 5% (new); Sustainability: 5% (new)
It can be seen that compared with 2023, this year's scoring standard:
It reduces the weight of academic reputation and teacher-student ratio, and improves the weight of employer reputation; The proportion of international teachers and international students remains unchanged; Three new indicators: international research network, employment achievement and sustainability, all with a weight of 5%.
It can be said that the application of this new scoring standard has a great influence on the whole ranking!
