Eindhoven Technical School in the Netherlands was established by the Dutch government on June 1956. This university is the second largest among the technical universities in the Netherlands, second only to Hudell Technical University. In Council of Europe's report in 2003, Eindhoven University of Technology ranked third among European research universities (the first two universities were Cambridge University and Oxford University respectively, along with technical university of munich). In 2005, Inhofen University of Technology ranked 74th in the world in The Times Higher Education Supplement, and rose to 67th in 2006. This is a truly top university.
Inhofen University of Technology (TU/e), founded in 1956, is a polytechnic college, and has now developed into a polytechnic university with 8 departments. There are 12 master of science major in engineering and 3 bachelor of mathematics and physics major in normal school. In addition, Stan ekman College of this school also has a postgraduate technical design major of 10, and the graduate school of this school has various postgraduate courses.
By 2000, TU/e had about 3,000 faculty members, 300 professors, 6,000 students, 200 graduate students, 450 doctoral students, 20,000 graduate engineers, 1000 master of technical design, and awarded 2,000 doctoral degrees. The school has about 65,438+000 student groups and 65,438+05 alumni associations, covering social, sports, cultural and learning fields. TU/e teaching is based on the research activities in our school, with the emphasis on design. Lecturers and students use modern information and communication means. The school's curriculum is also international, and students are encouraged to complete some studies abroad or in cooperation with foreign companies.
On February 7th, 2007, three universities of technology in the Netherlands (Eindhoven University of Technology, Delft University of Technology and Twente University) formally established 3TU. The ceremony was presided over by the Minister of Education, Culture and Science. Chris Buijink, Second Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and Bernard Wientjes, President of the Dutch Federation of Industry and Employers attended the meeting. In this alliance, three universities of science and technology will combine their capabilities and facilities to further enhance their status in Europe and the world. Each university enjoys a high reputation both at home and abroad. After forming an alliance, they will rank among the top universities in the world.
The three universities of science and technology will devote themselves to discovering and solving the most pressing social problems. With the comprehensive ability of 30,000 students and about 5,500 researchers, it will be more beneficial for universities to produce more scientific research results. The academic projects and research activities of the three universities will be further integrated. Including all available knowledge, personnel and resources, such as the facilities of large technical and scientific research institutes. The alliance of the three universities will contribute more effectively to the construction of knowledge economy in the Netherlands.
