There are too many new and modern architects, but the school teachers mainly talk about Meyer: Smith Mansion (the main design), which is mainly his.
2. Introduction to Smith Mansion:
Architect David Boyle designed a single-story structure for a federal residence on a reservation in Victoria, Australia. The house named "Smith House" retains the street view brought by the roof structure and deletes unnecessary features such as the brick garage near the front porch. A new attic was added at the back of the house, leading directly to the backyard, and a new central courtyard was built to provide light and ventilation for the new attic and house. Skylights coordinate the transition between existing buildings and new buildings and provide natural light for the central circulation center. The inner surface of the skylight is painted in four colors, representing the age and color of the house. North-facing doors have been added to the master bedroom, which also lead to the courtyard, providing extra light, ventilation and direction. The new attic design is aimed at the existing houses to form a harmonious picture with the natural surface. In order to echo the jacaranda trees in the backyard, the attic is carved with flowers. The attic includes a living area, a central dining area and a kitchen, and extends to the barbecue table in the backyard and central courtyard. Carved chairs and corner windows are built in the back of the kitchen, which provides another place for residents to get together socially.
