Shandong Institute of Physical Education is the only provincial general physical education institute in Shandong Province that integrates physical education teaching, training and scientific research. Founded in 1958, the school is located at the foot of Qianfo Mountain in Jinan City, Shandong Province, with a new campus in Rizhao City, a beautiful coastal city.
Shandong Institute of Physical Education currently covers an area of 1.800 mu, with a total construction area of 3 1.99 million square meters. The library has an automated management system, with 303,300 Chinese and foreign books and 537 Chinese and foreign periodicals. It is the largest international sports science and technology book collection unit in our province. Journal of Shandong Institute of Physical Education and Shandong Sports Science and Technology sponsored by our school have international publishing standard numbers. At present, there are 432 in-service teaching and research staff, including 46 in full-time higher vocational colleges, 79 in junior vocational colleges/KLOC-0 and 49 in intermediate vocational colleges/KLOC-0. Shandong Institute of Physical Education has the teaching, training and scientific research experimental facilities that the first-class physical education institutions in China should have, with a total value of 29,672,400 yuan. These include the world-class simulated plateau training low-pressure cabin and the largest simulated runway and its supporting facilities in Asia. In the past five years, the College has undertaken 3 national projects, 23 provincial projects, 465,438+0 projects of the Provincial Department of Education and the Provincial Sports Bureau, published 48 academic monographs and textbooks, and published 827 academic papers. Among them, 18 scientific research achievements won provincial and ministerial awards, 4 1 won bureau-level awards, 2 scientific research achievements were transferred, and 20 scientific research achievements were adopted, which achieved considerable economic and social benefits. At present, the full-time education of Shandong Institute of Physical Education has six undergraduate majors: physical education, sports training, national traditional sports, social sports, sports human science and public utilities management (sports), with 4,628 full-time students and 2,726 correspondence students. Up to now, the college has trained nearly 10,000 full-time undergraduate and junior college students, 4,666 correspondence undergraduate and junior college students, 20 foreign students, and jointly trained 24 doctors and masters with foreign schools; 48 international athletes, 477 national athletes and 887 first-class athletes have been trained. Since 1997, our college has won12 gold medals, 96 silver medals and 84 bronze medals in international competitions such as Olympic Games and Asian Games, and 37 people have broken the record of 4 1 Asian Games. In 2000, the 27th Olympic Games won two gold medals, 1 silver medal, which made great contributions to Shandong Province's breakthrough in Olympic gold medal zero.
Under the leadership of Shandong provincial government, with the care and support of Rizhao Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, Shandong Institute of Physical Education established a new campus in Rizhao. Rizhao Campus now covers an area of 1.400 mu, located in the center of the new urban area of Rizhao City, with Rizhao Port in the south, Qufu Normal University in the north, the Yellow Sea in the east and the Indian Park in the west. It is about 2 kilometers away from the political and cultural centers such as the municipal party Committee and the municipal government. The first phase of the campus covers an area of 89,000 square meters, including 1 teaching office building, 1 comprehensive building, 1 comprehensive training hall and five dormitory buildings for students and staff. There are also 1 large plastic track and field with 23,000 square meters and outdoor plastic training ground 14. At present, four student canteens, training halls, eight student apartments, six teacher apartments and dormitory buildings under construction in the second phase of the project will be completed in July 2003. 122,000 square meter science and technology book laboratory building will be started in the first half of 2003. The total construction area of the second phase project is116000m2.

In 2007, six universities in Shandong Province enrolled students majoring in sports training: Shandong Institute of Physical Education, Yantai University, China Ocean University, Shandong University of Technology, Qufu Normal University and Liaocheng University. There are three colleges and universities that enroll students majoring in national traditional sports: Shandong Normal University, Shandong Institute of Physical Education and Heze College. The application conditions are: graduated from high school or equivalent, with the technical level qualification of second-class athlete (including) or second-class samurai (including), and the age is no more than 22 years old; Those who have the technical qualification of first-class athletes (inclusive) or first-class samurai (inclusive) or above may be relaxed to 35 years old.
It is understood that sports training and national traditional sports majors implement the method of combining cultural examinations with special sports examinations. The cultural examination in 2007 is scheduled to be held in mid-May, and the minimum admission control score line of the cultural examination is determined by the enrollment institution according to the enrollment plan and the situation of students in that year.
