Changchun Institute of Technology was established by People's Republic of China (PRC) Emergency Management Department and Jilin Provincial People's Government. Approved by the Ministry of Education, it is a provincial-level ordinary undergraduate college with strong background in basic industries such as architecture, water conservancy, electric power and geology and distinctive school-running characteristics. It belongs to Class A universities with high-level application characteristics in Jilin Province.
National ranking: In the list of national comprehensive universities published by the Alumni Association, changchun institute of technology ranked 353rd in the country in 2022. In the soft science edition of the national comprehensive university rankings, changchun institute of technology ranked 405th in the country in 2022.
Changchun institute of technology:
Class A applied university, jointly established by Jilin Provincial People's Government and the National Emergency Management Department, is one of the first five pilot universities in China to implement the excellent engineer education and training program of the Ministry of Education, the pilot university of CDIO engineering education reform, and the preparatory class for the children of border guards. The school is located in Changchun. The current Party Secretary is Hu Ming and the President is Chen Quan. The school motto is Mingde Zhiyuan, and Zhu Xing is pragmatic.
Changchun institute of technology was founded in 195 1- 1953. After 50 years, the three schools have been renamed several times, and their affiliation and school-running level have changed many times, mainly belonging to the former Ministry of Metallurgical Industry, the Ministry of Water Resources and Electric Power and China Nonferrous Metals Industry Corporation.
1960 Changchun Hydropower Engineering School was upgraded and renamed as jilin water resources Institute of Hydropower and held undergraduate education. From 65438 to 0997, all three schools became national key construction schools of demonstration higher engineering colleges. In March 2000, three universities merged to form changchun institute of technology.
