Wuhan Donghu College, formerly known as Wuhan University Donghu Branch, is one of the earliest four independent colleges in China. 20 1 1 approved by the Ministry of Education, it was renamed Wuhan Donghu College, which was undertaken by Tianye Group Co., Ltd. The school won the honors of national civilized unit, national advanced green collective, national party building demonstration university, and "one-stop" student community comprehensive management model pilot university of the Ministry of Education.

At present, there are 13 teaching colleges (departments) with 52 undergraduate majors and 34 majors, covering 9 disciplines such as economy, law, education, literature, science, engineering, management, art and medicine, with nearly 30,000 students. There are 14 national and provincial first-class undergraduate majors, 1 provincial reform pilot colleges, 13 provincial excellent teaching teams and excellent grass-roots teaching organizations.
