Ludong university International Studies University was founded on 1963. After more than 40 years of development, it has become a new, distinctive, multilingual, multidisciplinary, multi-level and open foreign language college. At present, there are three departments: Normal English, Translation and International Business, Basic English and Japanese, as well as research institutions such as Institute of Second Language Acquisition and Foreign Language Teaching, East Asian Cultural Research Center and Digital Foreign Language Teaching Experimental Center.

The School of Foreign Languages now has four undergraduate majors, English, Japanese, French and Korean, as well as many professional directions such as teacher education, scientific translation, international trade, marketing, management and news media technology. Postgraduates have three master's degree programs in English language and literature, foreign linguistics and applied linguistics, and Japanese language and literature, as well as master's degree programs in education and master's degree application authorization programs with equivalent academic qualifications.
