The campus network of Shandong University of Technology was established in June 1998. In 2000, the second phase of the project was upgraded and expanded to form a gigabit ATM network. By 200 1, Nanjing Dongda Jinzhi Company will become an integrator and adopt Cisco equipment architecture. After the expansion of the second phase project in 2002 and the third phase project in 2003, so far, more than 32,000 information points have been formed, with Cisco equipment as the backbone, spanning east and west campuses, covering teaching and research areas, office management areas, staff residential areas and student dormitory areas, and realizing fast Ethernet between buildings. At present, the campus network has two exits, one is the 1000M optical fiber connected to Chinanet (Netcom); The other is 155M connected to Cernet (National Education and Research Network). In April 2003, the school was identified as the first batch of 14 city node centers in China by the National Cernet Center.
