Under the witness of Academician China Academy of Engineering, Party Secretary of Hunan Technology and Business University, Chen Xiaohong, Director of Xiangjiang Laboratory, and Cao Puhua, Secretary of Yueyang Municipal Party Committee, Hunan Technology and Business University and Yueyang Municipal Government successfully signed a scientific and technological innovation cooperation and awarded the first Xiangjiang Laboratory Regional Innovation Center in Hunan Province.
Hunan Technology and Business University has obvious advantages in disciplines and abundant human resources. Xiangjiang Laboratory, led by Hunan Technology and Business University, is a major innovation platform to strengthen the support of computing power in the province, and it is one of the "four major laboratories" that the provincial party committee and government focus on building. This cooperation with Yueyang is the first time that the laboratory has established a regional innovation center in the province.
Xiangjiang Laboratory relies on the advantages of Hunan's talent chain, innovation chain and industrial chain in the fields of advanced computing and artificial intelligence, actively gathers domestic and foreign scientific and technological innovation resources, and follows the layout of "headquarters+branches+innovation center". The headquarters is composed of major basic research, scientific and technological innovation and achievement transformation departments.
Introduction of Xiangjiang Laboratory:
Branches are distributed in 7 universities including National University of Defense Technology, Central South University, Hunan University, Hunan Technology and Business University, Hunan Normal University, Xiangtan University and Changsha University of Science and Technology, and key technology research bases have been established. The innovation centers are located in 25 enterprises, including Huawei, Baidu, Xianggang, CRRC Zhuji, Sany Heavy Industry, Zoomlion, CLP 48, Jingjiawei, Wei Tuo Information, etc., and scientific and technological innovation centers and achievement transformation centers have been established.
Xiangjiang Laboratory will be built with the overall framework of "1346", and the laboratory headquarters will be built, with three centers for computing power, algorithms and computing data, focusing on four main directions: data intelligence, artificial intelligence for high-performance computing, new intelligent computing and key technologies for the field, and focusing on intelligent manufacturing, intelligent medical care, intelligent resources, energy and environment, intelligent transportation and logistics, and scientific supervision and management.
