Shenyang University of Chemical Technology, located in Shenyang Economic and Technological Development Zone, is a multidisciplinary university focusing on engineering, featuring chemical engineering and integrating engineering, science, management, economics, literature, law, teaching, medicine and art.

Shenyang University of Chemical Technology was founded in July, 1952, 15. Founded as "Shenyang Chemical Technology School", it belongs to the Ministry of Industry of Northeast People's Government. The original site of the school was selected at No.3, Wu Shang Street, Tiexi District, Shenyang (now Aigong South Street 1 1), and there were three professional subjects in that year.

The school was founded in 1952, upgraded to shenyang institute of chemical technology in 1958, renamed Liaoning University of Science and Technology in 1960, and returned to shenyang institute of chemical technology of the Ministry of Chemical Industry in 1962. 1998, the school-running system was jointly established by the central and local governments, with Liaoning as the main management.

The school covers an area of nearly 1.500 mu, with a building area of over 400,000 square meters. The campus is considered to be one of the most beautiful campuses in the province, integrating academics, gardens and art. There are 25 secondary departments and related institutions. There are more than 4,000 full-time undergraduate and graduate students/kloc-0, nearly 3,000 adult and continuing education students and nearly 200 international students.
