The Institute of Technology of East China Jiaotong University, organized by East China Jiaotong University, was first approved by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education and the Jiangxi Provincial Development Planning Commission, and confirmed by the Ministry of Education as an independent college with independent legal personality. 20 18 1, Institute of Technology Branch of East China Jiaotong University Alumni Association was established, becoming the 45th member of East China Jiaotong University Alumni Association.

The Institute of Technology consists of six branches, namely, Civil Engineering Branch, Electromechanical Engineering Branch, Electrical and Information Engineering Branch, Economic Management Branch, Humanities Law Branch, Art and Sports Branch, and two doctoral research institutes, including Basic Discipline Department, Ideological and Political Theory Teaching Department, Modern Education Technology Center, Experimental Training Center, Psychological Consultation Center, Institute of Energy Materials and Nanotechnology, and Institute of Information and Control Technology.
