Diploma course is a diploma course, also known as "freshman express course": it is equivalent to freshman in academic system. Since it is equivalent to the first year of college, why should it be distinguished from the ordinary first year of college in Australia? In fact, this course is to take care of international students who have not received Australian education and give them a period of adaptation and transition. As we all know, there are huge differences between Chinese and Australian education systems. It is difficult for Australian universities to judge whether a student meets the admission requirements of Australian universities by China's high school scores or college entrance examination scores plus IELTS. Therefore, the school designed a freshman shortcut course to recruit high school graduates from China. In layman's terms, it is to admit you to study for one year first, and if you can adapt, let you enter the ordinary sophomore and junior year to continue to finish the undergraduate course. In other words, after finishing the diploma course, if everything is qualified, you can enter the sophomore year. So the time is 1 year diploma course +2 years undergraduate course =3 years.
