Chengdu University of Technology, majoring in Surveying and Mapping Science and Technology, took the postgraduate entrance examination in 2022, and the first volunteer candidate scored 273, which is not difficult compared with other majors.

Surveying and mapping science and technology has a long history. Ancient surveying and mapping technology originated from water conservancy and agriculture. /kloc-before the 0/7th century, people used simple tools to measure, mainly to measure the distance. Angle measurement began at the beginning of17th century, and the least square method and photogrammetry appeared at the end of18th century. At the beginning of the 20th century, due to the development of aviation technology, aerial photos obtained by automatic continuous aerial camera were processed into topographic maps by stereo mapper, which promoted the development of aerial photogrammetry. Since 1950s, surveying and mapping technology has developed towards electronization and automation.

With the development of society, surveying and mapping science and technology need to realize the transformation from static surveying and mapping to dynamic surveying and mapping, from data production to information service, from data provision to comprehensive grasp of geographical conditions and service for major decisions.
