A speech on the treatment of children admitted to universities.
Dear guests and friends, good evening:

First of all, I warmly welcome friends, relatives, teachers and classmates to attend my son's graduation party!

After studying hard for twelve years in the cold window, today it finally paid off, and my son was admitted to an ideal university. On the one hand, her mother and I are proud of our son's achievements. On the other hand, I feel sorry for my son leaving home to study. A kind-hearted mother made clothes for her wayward son's body. She sewed them carefully and repaired them thoroughly, fearing that the delay would make him go home late. I think many parents share this complicated mood with us.

In the past 18 years, I have always had a dream, and that is to make my son succeed. What is particularly gratifying is that although the society is impetuous, his son is still fresh and pure, and he is still eager to learn and make progress. I am very pleased and proud. Therefore, I want to thank my son for the happiness and happiness he has brought us.

Today, my son is about to embark on a journey, and his thoughts will be cherished in my heart forever. I believe this yearning will turn into a bright light to illuminate my son's journey.

Being admitted to a university is only the first step in the long March, and there is still a long way to go in life. Here I send my son a pair of couplets written by Ji Xiaolan in Qing Dynasty: "First-class loyal minister and dutiful son, second, studying and ploughing". Two sentences and four things, loyalty, filial piety, reading and ploughing, seem ordinary, but they are not simple. It is not easy to do these four things well in your life. I borrow this couplet here, mainly in the hope that my son will be a useful person to society, a person who cares about his family, a person who studies hard and a person who works hard in the future. The second sentence to my son is a famous saying by Ge Hong in Jin Dynasty: "The breadth of learning lies in perseverance, and perseverance lies in perseverance". It means: the depth of learning lies in not knowing boredom when learning, but learning that is not boring lies in having a firm goal. The third sentence: "Everything depends on human effort". Active efforts are bound to succeed.

Finally, thank you very much for coming. Over the years, every growth and progress of my son can't be separated from everyone's support. We will always remember these things. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks here! I wish you all the best and all the best!
