Yangtze University is a comprehensive university with the largest scale and the most comprehensive disciplines among universities in Hubei Province, and it is also a key university in Hubei Province. Approved by the Ministry of Education in April 2003, the school was formed by the merger of Jianghan Petroleum College, Hubei Agricultural College, Jingzhou Normal College and Hubei Medical College of Health Workers.
