Cixi Campus of Ningbo University is two universities. Ningbo University, referred to as "Ningda", is located in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. It is a university jointly established by China people, Ministry of Education, Zhejiang Provincial People's Government and Ningbo Municipal People's Government. It is a university jointly established by the State Oceanic Administration and the Ningbo Municipal People's Government. It is a national "double first-class" university and the first batch of key universities in Zhejiang Province.

The main campus of the school is located in the north area of Higher Education Park, with five campuses, including Meishan and Botanical Garden, covering an area of 3,037 mu (excluding independent colleges) and a building area of 1.3 million square meters. There are 25 teaching colleges in the school, including 2 1 discipline colleges, 75 undergraduate majors and 62 undergraduate majors.

Ningbo University has three directly affiliated hospitals, namely the Affiliated Hospital of Ningbo University Medical College, Lihuili Hospital affiliated to Ningbo University and People's Hospital affiliated to Ningbo University.
