Hydrology and water resources engineering
This major mainly trains senior engineering and technical personnel who can engage in water resources planning and utilization, urban water management, water environmental protection, soil and water conservation, drought and flood disaster prevention, planning and design, forecasting, management, technical and economic analysis, teaching and basic theoretical research. After graduation, students can work in water conservancy, energy, transportation, urban construction, agriculture and forestry, environmental protection, education and other departments.
Main courses: principles of hydrology, hydrology statistics, water environmental chemistry, water conservancy calculation and water resources planning, flood and drought disaster prevention and mitigation, karst environment theory, hydrological analysis and calculation, watershed management and planning, etc.
This major has a corresponding master's degree.
