Youth is a Chinese word, and the pinyin is Q ρ ng niá n. The meaning of youth is different in different societies around the world, and the definition of youth has been changing with the changes of political, economic, social and cultural environment. Due to different social, cultural, institutional, economic and political factors, different countries have subtle differences in the actual definition and understanding of the word "youth".
According to the age classification determined by the World Health Organization, the age range of youth is 10~24 years old, youth is 15~24 years old, and adolescence is 10~ 19 years old.
The United Nations General Assembly also defines "youth" as 15 to 24 years old (inclusive). On 1985, the United Nations launched the "International Year of Youth" on a global scale, and gave this definition specifically for the "International Year of Youth" activities. All statistics on youth published by the United Nations, such as the annual statistical yearbook on population, education, employment and health care published by the United Nations system, are based on the above definition.
