Tongji University School of Surveying and Mapping and Geographic Information 2065438+was held in siping road Campus on May 20th, 2002. Tongji University 1932 established the Department of Surveying, which is the earliest institution in China to carry out higher civil surveying and mapping education. At that time, Tongji University's surveying and mapping discipline brought together a group of pioneers of China's surveying and mapping discipline, such as Professor Ye, Xia, Wang, Zeng and so on, which played an important role in the development of China's surveying and mapping science and technology. At the same time, it also trained a number of well-known experts and scholars in the national surveying and mapping session, such as Academician Xu Houze, Academician Ning Jinsheng and Academician Zhang Zuxun, with more than 3,000 graduates at all levels.

20 12 On May 20th, the School of Surveying and Mapping and Geographic Information of Tongji University was formally established on the basis of the former Department of Surveying and Mapping and Land Information Engineering of the School of Civil Engineering.
