According to official website of the University of South China, Guizhou environmental engineering major of the University of South China is located in Hongxiang Campus, and mining major (including mineral resources engineering including excellent engineer class and mineral processing engineering) is located in Hongxiang Campus. South China University is a multi-disciplinary university (founded in 1958) which was merged in May 2000 by Central South Institute of Technology, which was originally affiliated to the Ministry of Nuclear Industry, and Hengyang Medical College, which was originally affiliated to Hunan Province. From June 5438 to October 2002 10, the Sixth Research Institute of Nuclear Industry, which was originally affiliated to the Ministry of Nuclear Industry, was merged into the University of South China.
