Compared with the total number of graduate students enrolled in Shanghai University, it may account for about 40%, because the number of graduate students in general schools is about 1/3 of that of undergraduates. If this major enrolls 10 students, it is likely that 4 students are from our school and 1 students are from other schools, and only 5 students may actually pass the unified examination.

Exempt students

Tuition-free students, whose full name is "recommending excellent fresh graduates to study for master's degree without taking the exam", refer to a situation in which they go directly to graduate students without taking the exam. The time sequence of research is: cross, direct scholarship, direct scholarship, extrapolation, master of engineering. The time for pushing research every year is from the beginning of September to the end of September in the last semester of senior year. The exemption time generally starts from the beginning of September each year.

Registration requirements

Institutions of higher learning that can carry out the work of exemption from examination and approval can recommend a specified number of outstanding undergraduate graduates from the preliminary examination, and go directly to the applicant for a second interview and go through the acceptance procedures before the specified date. The recommendation and admission methods shall be formulated by the school (enrollment unit) according to the relevant provisions of the Ministry of Education.

The admitted students (including postgraduate education group and rural education master program) must go through the registration confirmation formalities at the registration point within the registration time stipulated by the state, and may not take the unified examination again. Students who have not been admitted by the admissions unit within the specified date will no longer retain the exemption qualification.

Except for MBA, MBA, project management in master of engineering, education management in master of education and competition organization in master of physical education, other academic majors and professional degrees can accept students without examination.
