History of Ukrainian National zhukovsky University of Aeronautics and Astronautics
The school was founded in 1930 by the former Aviation College of Kharkov University of Technology. At that time, there were only two departments, namely Aircraft Manufacturing Department and Engine Manufacturing Department, with teachers 12 and 69 students.

1932, the teachers and students of our school successfully designed and manufactured the first retractable landing gear passenger plane хаи- 1, which was the most advanced aircraft at that time. At that time, the school set a number of world records on behalf of airplanes and gliders. (The хаи series aircraft is still being designed and manufactured, the most advanced хаи-75).

1935, the college teacher амлюлькой designed and manufactured the first turbojet engine.

1937165438+1October, this school designed the first rocket. By the early 1940s, the school had more than 65,438+0,000 students.

During World War II, more than 500 teachers and students of the school fought in the front line and participated in the research and development of high-intensity bombers. After the occupation of Kharkov, the school withdrew to Kazan and continued to train aviation experts. During this time, senior students have been sent to the national defense enterprise engineering office. Many of them were awarded the first-class medal of Soviet military equipment production. This was the highest medal of the military manufacturing industry at that time, and accumulated a lot of valuable experience in fighter design and manufacturing.

1944, after the liberation of kharkov, the college has returned to its hometown. After World War II, the school spent nearly eight years rebuilding the destroyed buildings. During this period, all the research was conducted in Koh Samui.

In the late 1940s, the school established a new department and expanded its research projects. The first experiment was carried out 40 years later, and the jet exploded successfully.

1953, the school designed and manufactured the first rocket propulsion engine.

In the mid-1950s, the school established the second largest wind tunnel in Europe. And began to develop missile technology and space technology, and began to study the technology of making rockets. And successfully launched the first rocket.

At the end of 1960s, the school established the Student Aircraft Design Bureau (now Antonov Aircraft Factory), and designed and manufactured more than 30 aircraft in 10.

1966, Kharkov Aviation Academy was included in the first batch of 26 A-level key institutions in the Soviet Union.

1980, opened a new college-Aircraft System Control College, and established Rocket and Space Technology College. At the same time, establish the scientific theory of aerospace materials, improve the wind tunnel that can test supersonic aircraft, and build new teaching buildings and dormitories, sports centers and entertainment centers in Crimea.

During the period of 1978, the school participated in the aerodynamic research of Soviet countries. Because of its outstanding performance and achievements, the Soviet government gave the school the name of zhukovsky, a famous mechanic, and won the highest honor of the Soviet Union-Lenin Medal in 1980.

In the middle and late 1980s, the school gradually focused on the structural strength of aircraft and engines, and established the strength calculation theory of aircraft and engines for the first time. Combined with aerodynamics, the aeroelastic theory is established, and great achievements have been made in mechanics.

199 1 year, a new country, Ukraine, was founded, and the school became the only institution in the country to study and teach aircraft and engines. Kiev is a civil aviation college, focusing on cultivating talents in economy, management and service.

From 65438 to 0992, the school began to recruit foreign students.

1993 in order to meet the requirements of the times, the school established the School of Economics and Management.

From 65438 to 0998, the school introduced and developed its own CAD/CAM/CAE technology: NACA structural analysis technology, and established the National University of Aeronautics and Astronautics on the basis of Kharkov Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

1999, School of Humanities was established. At this point, the school has become a comprehensive university with aviation industry as the mainstay and other majors as the supplement.

2/kloc-0 At the beginning of the 20th century, our school became one of the main members of the international space organization "Alpha", and maintained long-term friendly scientific research cooperation relations with the United States, Japan, Germany, Mexico, the Netherlands, China and other countries. (Cooperation with China: China Aviation Group and China Aerospace Group have experts to visit our school every year, and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics has sent students and teachers to study and visit our school since 2009. )
