Southwest University does not actually occupy half of Beibei. Beibei Campus of Southwest University is located in Beibei District of Chongqing, covering an area of about 2,000 mu. It is a relatively large comprehensive university. Although the campus occupies a certain land area, it does not account for half of the whole Beibei District. Beibei District is a municipal district under the jurisdiction of Chongqing, with a total area of 460 square kilometers. It is one of the largest municipal districts in Chongqing, and Beibei Campus of Southwest University only occupies a small part of the total area.
