Jilin University Business School is also called Qianwei South District in the central campus, which is the campus of the former Jida University, the campus with the best infrastructure in Jida University, and even the campus with the best infrastructure in the whole Northeast. The School of Management is located in Nanling Campus, the former campus of Jilin University of Technology, next to Northeast Normal University, and its infrastructure is not as good as that of the central campus.

Many majors in the two colleges overlap, but the directions are different. The business school is better and harder to test:

The business school has four research institutions: Jilin University Modern Service Industry Research Institute, Asiana Economic and Financial Research Center, Modern Management Research Center and Modern Information and Decision Research Center.

The School of Management places more emphasis on application practice. For example, the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of Jilin University was established by the School of Management. It is the first batch of new university think tanks with Jilin characteristics in the Education Department of Jilin Province.
