NTUST has a new teaching building called TR International Building, with a unique corridor design and a wide view upstairs, overlooking Taipei 10 1. The opening scene of the film "Waiting for a Cup of Coffee" adapted from Giddens Ko's novel was shot in this building. There are many desks and chairs for self-study outside the classroom. At that time, a teacher bought a lunch with us every Thursday at noon, and talked a lot about Taiwan Province Province and the mainland.
There are many differences between universities in Taiwan Province and those in Chinese mainland. For example, their textbooks are basically in English, and the teacher will give you lectures in Chinese. You are also free to choose courses, and it is easy to choose courses across departments. There are many particularly interesting courses, such as "Dining English", in which the English teacher prepares food for you, takes it to class to eat, learn and teach you how to taste and appreciate red wine. The school's clubs are also rich and colorful, including Chinese music club, volunteer club, international exchange club, numerology research society, student union and so on. However, it is completely different from the student union in Chinese mainland. The president of the student union is elected by giving a speech at the school. Once I went through a school fire drill, and everyone acted very quickly. There are many interesting things that cannot be listed one by one. Young students have the opportunity to explore and experience for themselves!
