Guizhou minzu university was established in May 2007, and it belongs to the Guizhou Provincial People's Government. It is one of the earliest universities for nationalities in New China, a key university in Guizhou Province, a university jointly established by the Guizhou Provincial People's Government and the State Ethnic Affairs Commission, and an excellent university evaluated by the Ministry of Education. It is also an institution of higher learning that receives scholarships from the Government of China.
